SAMPLE CHAPTERS & ARTWORK UPDATES

How would you like to wake up every morning and look out into your neighbor’s yard to see something completely different than the day before. This is what I witnessed after visiting Gracie Robinson to check out her homespun, backyard Faerie Garden. She then took me to meet her neighbor. The timing could not have been better.

Meet Mr. Hunt, a retired teacher who loves sharing his passion for collective treasures. Grace and I were thrilled when he pulled into his driveway. She told me she’d wanted meet him, but this was the first opportunity so far. And he was thrilled to share all his tales about what he’d found and built, historic and more! There was so much to see. He even took us on a tour down the homemade paths that led around to the back of the house, regaling the story of a mother deer giving birth, showing us the second oldest brick in the state of Virginia, old elevator parts, and so on.

Behold the wonders of a dreamer, a storyteller, and open-minded teacher….
